About us

How we started

Mum Days was started by our Chairperson and mum of 2 Melissa, as a way for local mums to make connections and build confidence going out to socialise with their babies/toddlers.

“As a mum of two (my firstborn arriving in January 2020, just before the pandemic) I am no stranger to the highs and lows of parenthood and sadly the isolation it can create. I felt I had something to offer local mums who were crying out for connection and a sense of community.” – Melissa

Mum Days main focus is to support mums who may feel isolated, anxious or lack the confidence/funds to attend baby/toddler classes or groups in Moray.

We endeavour to improve health & wellbeing, with opportunities to stay mentally healthy by providing an open, friendly & safe space to relax, connect with others, receive peer support and make connections with local agencies.

About us

Mum Days Aims

We aim to tackle social isolation within the local area by creating an informal, friendly and safe environment for mums, pregnant and birthing people along with their pre-school children to socialise.  We endeavour to help families build confidence engaging with others in the community, sharing experiences and advice as well as taking part in activities, workshops, courses and events.

Furthermore the group shall seek to:

  • Encourage child development through play and sensory exploration with a variety of toys and materials.
  • Promote health and wellbeing, with a focus on maternal mental health through peer support.
  • Run varied activities for children and mums/birthing people.
  • Make connections with local businesses and services relevant to our members.
